New Zealand is a must-see for most world travelers. This hot spot destination is one of those rare places that seems almost untouched by many of the modern advances that plague and pollute the more densely populated areas of the world. If you want to visit a land of mystique and natural beauty, then there is perhaps no better place than New Zealand. Curious to learn more? Here are five things you need to know about visiting New Zealand:
Traversing the land
There is so much to see and do in New Zealand that it is very important to plan out how, exactly, you plan on travelling while you are there. You have several options when exploring this very long, narrow country. For ultimate freedom, you can rent a car and take the backroads to see what you run into. If you prefer to have some guidance, take a guided bus tour. If getting from one end of the country to the other quickly is important to you, then you should know that each major city in New Zealand has an airport that runs daily flights to all other major cities.
Person from New Zealand here. I live in a region with a mild Mediterranean climate. Drive fifteen minutes west and you can get caught in a blizzard. Go further north and you’re in sub-tropical Auckland. Whoever wrote this obviously has absolutely no idea about this country and weather- nearly everywhere gets it’s own version of ‘Four seasons in one day’
yes agree with Ashlea. The weather everywhere here is not constant, and it definitely gets above 25 degrees celius in summer!!!! and goes way below 0 in some places in winter!!!!

Kei hea to korero mo te tangata whenua me nga mea maori katoa o aotearoa? Why is there absolutely no mention of things Maori in this article about Aotearoa / NZ? A bit sad really……..Wouldnt experiencing Maori culture at a Marae or listening to Waiata Maori be excellent things to do alongside cycling, kayaking, skiing, surfing etc? Just my thoughts as a foreign languages buff and kiwi who lives in Colombia…..Kia Ora Koutou
