Grape-picking in Champagne
Who doesn’t like France? Especially its amazing food, wines and cheeses. So what best holiday can you imagine there than going into the depth of the best the country has to offer? Grape-picking in France last approximately from mid-September to end of October every year and creates many seasonal jobs.
Anyone in good physical health may be part of it, as it is a tough task indeed, but because of the huge reputation of French wines, many also consider it as an attraction. Did you know that some foreigners even pay travel agencies to go grape picking?
Still, if you have never done it before, you might want to start with the Champagne region, grape picking there only last for approximately ten days there, as it can go up to a month in Bordeaux region for example. Best thing is, they often offer you a bottle at the end!
Nudist resorts
Naturism is a very common way of life in certain countries, especially northern countries like Norway or Finland. But France is getting more and more into it too. Nudist beaches and resorts are flourishing everywhere. Even the city of Paris has dedicated a part of its biggest park (Bois de Vincennes) to nudism. And don’t fool yourself, there are not only old people there, even a nudist family is welcome.
So why not give it a try? Wandering around without any clothes on may seem a bit odd at first, but really, when you get used to it, you will realise how great it feel. No barriers, no taboos, no mental blocks… It is a really good way to open your mind to something new and coming back with a real feeling of having traveled into another world.
French Tecknival, what’s that?
If you are more of the party kind, then you might get a bit bored in a naturist camp. But no worries, we have something for you too. Have you ever heard of the French Tecknival happening every May Day in France? Ok, don’t get scared.
Forget about the “zombieland” cliché about it. It is a huge rave party, yes, but it is not anymore what it used to be. Nowaydays it’s more of a big festival than a proper rave party. You meet there people of any kind, travelers, workers, bosses and even families interested in seeing something new. So why not you?

Most people don’t know that Paris has catacombs. If case you don’t know a catacomb is a crypt where people are buried underground when they run out of room on the surface. They are several stories under the streets and are the final resting place for many thousands of people. If you learn all about them, you can give tours of the Paris catacombs!
