The UK was reminded just how fabulous London can be over the course of the Olympics last year, and this has prompted many Brits to rediscover their capital city. There are loads of things to do and see in London to suit every taste. There are many museums and galleries to explore if you’re seeking culture, or a multitude of shops if you are seeking the ultimate shopping experience – if it exists you will find it in London!
For those discovering London for the first time, or who have limited experience in the area, trying some of the touristy things can be great fun. Madame Tussauds have some fab attractions in the city that are well worth a visit. Stay in one of the many wonderful London hotels and see what all the fuss is about.
The London Eye
Since it was completed, the London Eye has become one of the “must-do” activities in the city. This is a great first stop as you can view the city from above for maximum effect and see how many sites you recognise from up high. Alternatively make this the last thing on your itinerary and spot all the places you have visited.
Madame Tussauds
There are now many Madame Tussauds waxworks around the world, but the London attraction is still one of the largest. Get up close and personal with your favourite stars and historical figures, as there is everyone here from the boys of 1D, to Winston Churchill. Bring a camera and browse through photos of you and the rich and famous long after your trip to remember your experience.
London Dungeon
If you like a fright then the London Dungeon is definitely worth a visit in its new location near Waterloo. The London Dungeon is conveniently located next to the London Eye so you can easily combine your trips. See some of the 18 live shows and take a turn on the two underground rides.
Traditional tourist attractions are great for a day out and combining several of the top London activities on a stay in the city will make for a great little break. Book a hotel and find tickets to all of Madame Tussauds locations online.
